Emergency Ride Home (ERH)
If you are a BWH employee who does not drive to work, you are eligible to register for ERH and receive a free taxi ride or rental car to take you home in the event of an unexpected personal emergency up to five times per year.
Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA)
BWH provides a 50% subsidy on MBTA “T” passes, also called Charlie Cards, and on MBTA Commuter Rail passes. Contact the BWH Transit, Parking & Security for information on obtaining an MBTA
pass. Maps and route information are available on the MBTA website.
BWH employees can join Zipcar at a rate considerably discounted rate.

Please call 617.432.1379 to schedule the following services:
- Walking Service
A security officer will escort you anywhere on campus or to the nearest MBTA stop 24 hours a day. Please call ahead and allow 15 minutes for the officer to arrive.
- Taxi Escort
A taxi is as available from 9pm to 3am, seven days a week, from the Vanderbilt Hall Security Desk. The service is free within a one mile radius of campus. Should you go beyond one mile you are responsible for the additional fare. Please see website for policies regarding multiple riders.
